Neck Features

The Heart and Soul of any guitar is the neck.

It’s the first thing you feel when picking up the instrument, and the most consistent point of contact while playing it. The neck shape dictates the entire character of an instrument. It is for these reasons it’s imperative that the neck be stable, accurate and comfortable.

We take great care in the selection, preparation and execution of the materials and workmanship in all of our necks.

Our goal to create the most perfectly accurate but “played in“ feeling necks available. We utilize CNC technology to ensure accuracy in all the critical locations. However, the final shaping to the playing surface of the neck is hand carved using old school methods and tools. This is the only way to ensure each Bluesman Vintage neck meets our exacting standards.

Bluesman Vintage guitar and bass necks are also available with a variety of woods, shapes, Frets, and profiles.

Guitar necks feature a 1.625” (1 5/8”) bone nut width, a heel adjust dual action truss rod and blind fret slots.

You have a choice of, inlays, binding, and two different fretboard radii.

You can even opt for added carbon fiber reinforcement and stainless steel frets.

10” Hybrid (standard)
Our Hybrid fretboard radius maintains a consistent 10” radius shape from the nut all the way to the heel. However, the fret tops have a compound 10”-12” radius to them. This produces a vintage neck feel while allowing lower string height and bigger bends than traditional fretboards.

Our compound radius fingerboard starts out as a 10” and flattens into a 16”inch radius. This produces the same low action and big bend ability of our 10” hybrid radius, but with a a more modern fast feeling fingerboard.

Three different thickness profiles are also available options.
